However, if you need to test translations on your actual site, this plugin may remain the practical solution. ⚠️ Warning ⚠️ Currently this plugin downloads only strings from Development project instead of Stable for plugins. Please wait for an update or see [the issue on GitHub](https://github.com/mayukojpn/force-update-translations/issues/37). ⚠️ Warning ⚠️ Currently this plugin is not able to generate the JSON files that is needed for JavaScript to consume some translations. Please wait for update or see [the issue on GitHub](https://github.com/mayukojpn/force-update-translations/issues/24). ### Theme translation To download the translation files for a theme: 1. It allows you to pull your translations from translate.wordpress.org into your website to see these translations in context – which is often the only way to tell whether something is well translated or not. In the most recent version of the plug-in, this works not only for plug-in translations but for theme translations as well. Easy to use, works fine. ![](https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/74ade01f874b2417bc33452103d3df57bace60ccc3eb35d4cd958ecede8e647f? s=60&d=retro&r=g) ### 󠀁[Very helpful!](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/very-helpful-878/)󠁿 [(Nok) Pantip Treerattanapitak](https://profiles.wordpress.org/imnok/) 11.6.2020 This plugin is very helpful! We able to use themes/plugins in our language, even it is not 100% translation. ![](https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/3362aeb3baa12c95b1e680c95e2e548db0c408d949e89b1748823bad561a9605? s=60&d=retro&r=g) ### 󠀁[Amazing](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/amazing-2340/)󠁿 [NSquared](https://profiles.wordpress.org/croixhaug/) 20.9.2019 I am so glad to find this plugin. We have international users for our plugin that help out by submitting translations. The problem is, there is no way for them to use the translations until it goes through a formal approval process. This is a wonderful solution, we can point our users to this plugin so they can use the translations right away. Thanks so much for making this!
