It may however be doing it too well: it also strips the transparency channel of PNGs. I just disabled it to upload a bunch of PNGs, and that was a functional one-off workaround. This may get in the way when you have more of a distribution of transparent PNGs and EXIF- ladden JPGs to upload regularly, though. ![](https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/f35ca17a3c273752c15590fa709c33f96f7bcaa6e7bcea1fcb79e485f34bb8ef? s=60&d=retro&r=g) ### 󠀁[Critical error on my client’s wordpress 6.4.2](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/critical-error-on-my-clients-wordpress-6-4-2/)󠁿 [lucashw](https://profiles.wordpress.org/lucashw/) 4.1.2024 Broke my client's website on version 6.4.2, don't download if you're using this version ![](https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/3ecf49f3d605605d2d43a66c4462b76e22562932522084760e803b7c6616076b? s=60&d=retro&r=g) ### 󠀁[Works fine with WordPress 5.1.1](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/still-does-what-it-says-it-will/)󠁿 [benmakkink](https://profiles.wordpress.org/benmakkink/) 26.3.2019 Still does what it says it will ![](https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/eda9f390adeb9ceceb13611b91e92b34106bd6f147e7f1d7ea5b46a0ba65136f? s=60&d=retro&r=g) ### 󠀁[Still works great](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/still-works-great-17/)󠁿 [crabsandwich](https://profiles.wordpress.org/crabsandwich/) 21.2.2017 Been searching on how to remove the guff from Olympus photos and i came up against a patch to WP that had never been implemented (i think) and a lot of comments surrounding it. Will post the link in there to here. Nice work. Hopefully it never needs updating. You have to upload your photos through a page/post or as i discovered it also works when adding a product (woocommerce) too. You can bulk upload everything through these methods and it strips the exif data. Thank you so much! ![](https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/12c4c8dc7d16d726f41164d3a24b3ac3b705a0abdc1c2ecc0a9f5d5b531bd989? s=60&d=retro&r=g) ### 󠀁[Works great!](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/works-great-3055/)󠁿 [felipepinheirodev](https://profiles.wordpress.org/felipepinheirodev/) 3.9.2016 1 reply Fixed the issue about the iphone photo orientation.
