+ Works well with shortcodes inside the tabs – No icon options in title – No direct linking to tabs or tab as links to urls – Styling is very generic, and I did not find the option to customize css as shown in the screenshots – Tab metaboxes disappeared after publishing the page, so there was no way to edit existing tabs after publishing the page.

Muutosloki

1.4.0

  • Security: tab titles are now stored as plain text; descriptions are sanitized on save (users without unfiltered_html get wp_kses_post) and escaped/validated on output.
  • Security: [wprtabs group=ID] no longer reveals tabs of private, draft or password-protected posts to visitors who cannot read them.
  • Security: save handler now unslashes/sanitizes the nonce, ignores revisions, checks the post type, and clears tabs when all are deleted. Added direct-access guards and an opt-in uninstall cleanup.
  • Security: removed time()-based cache busting (assets are versioned), no longer hotlinks remote icons in the admin.
  • New: ”Tab Groups” post type – reusable tab sets usable on any page with [wprtabs group=”ID”].
  • New: rich text editor for tab descriptions, drag-and-drop reordering, optional dashicon per tab.
  • New: settings page (colours, radius, breakpoint, animation, deep links).
  • New: shortcode options active, mode (tabs/accordion), breakpoint, animation, class; ”id” alias; defaults to the current post when no group is given.
  • New: several tab groups (or the same group) can be used on one page; previously only the first shortcode rendered.
  • New: accessible markup (ARIA tabs pattern, keyboard arrows/Home/End, focus styles, reduced-motion), deep links such as #wprtabs-12-tab-2, no-JavaScript fallback.
  • Improvement: front-end is now dependency-free (jQuery and easyResponsiveTabs removed) and loads only on pages that use the shortcode.
  • Improvement: translations are now actually loaded (load_plugin_textdomain was missing). New strings are not translated yet.
